Mrs. Jarad joined Universal School in 1993. She graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in English. She began teaching at Universal in 1993 until 1999 when she took a two-year sabbatical. She joined our teaching staff again in 2001 and is presently teaching, High School English and Advanced Placement English.

Dalal Askar                                                                email: daskar@universalschool.orgMrs. Askar joined Universal School in 2007. She earned her bachelors degree in Secondary Education and English from DePaul University and she is pursuing a Masters in Fiction Writing and Teaching Writing from Columbia College in Chicago. Mrs. Askar holds a secondary teaching certification from the State of Illinois.

Farida Abusafa                                                          email: fabusafa@universalschool.orgMrs. Abusafa rejoined Universal School in 2010. Mrs. Abusafa worked at Universal School from 2004 to 2006 as the girls’ basketball and volleyball coach and as a High School English teacher before dedicating herself to her family. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and English from Governor’s State University. Mrs. Abusafa is certified by the State if Illinois.

Ms. Razeq joined Universal School in January 2011. Ms. Razeq earned a Bachelor of Arts in teaching of English Secondary Education from University of Illinois at Chicago. She is certified to teach 6th-12th grade by the State of Illinois., and she is currently pursuing a Master of the Art in Curriculum and Instruction at Governors State University. Ms. Razeq taught for two years at College Preparatory School of America prior to coming to Universal School.
