Ms. Ayyad joined Universal School in 2008. She has Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Governors States University with a minor in Education. She is pursuing her Master in Clinical Professional Psychology at Roosevelt University.
Dalila Benameur, Academic Counselor email: dbenameur@universalschool.org
Ms. Benameur joined Universal School in 1996. Ms. Benameur has served as Dean of Students and is currently the Social Studies Department Chair. She has taught middle school and high school social studies. Ms. Benameur graduated from the University of Paris-Jussieu in France with a Master's Degree in American Civilization and a post-graduate degree in comparative religion and women's studies. Ms. Benameur also holds a teaching certificate from the university.

Mr. Matariyeh joined Universal School in 2007. In addition to teaching Sociology and American Government, he also serves as Dean of Students. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Studies from the University of Illinois in 1997 and his Master’s Degree in Political and Justice Studies from Governors State University in 2001. Prior to joining Universal School, he taught Political Science and American History at Moraine Valley Community College for six years where he also served as an academic advisor.

Mrs. Murrar joined Universal School in 2001. She graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and in June 2011 a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Murrar is certified by the state of Illinois. She is our 3rd grade teacher and Elementary Administrator/ Teacher Mentor.
Rosemary Sahloul, Head Dean of Students /Math Department Chair email: rsahloul@universalschool.org
Mrs. Sahloul joined Universal School in the year 2000, after serving 12 years as a middle and high school math teacher at Aqsa School. She graduated from the University of Illinois in May 1988 with High Honors, received a B.S. in Mathematic Education, and is certified in the state of Illinois, to teach grades 6-12. Currently, she is teaching AP Calculus.

Ms. Said joined Universal School in 2011. She attended Universal School from elementary through high school, and completed a Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago; she recently completed a Master’s in Education in Youth Development from UIC. Throughout the course of her education, she has been involved in activities as a member volunteer of various Muslim organizations designed to increase youth involvement in the community. She also completed her fieldwork at Universal during which she served as Program Leader responsible for establishing and managing a program focused on engaging and mentoring American Muslim.

Mrs. Sharara joined Universal School in 1997. She has an associate degree in Business Administration from LaGuardia Community College in New York, and earned a certification in early childhood education from Moraine Valley Community College.

Mrs. Abed joined Universal School in 2008. She is currently attending Moraine Valley Community College. Mrs. Abed has several years of professional work experience with commercial area.
Heda Al-Shuaibi, Secretary email: halshuaibi@universalschool.org
Mrs. Heda Al-Shuaibi joined Universal School in 2005. She has many years of public relations experience. She worked for eight years with Al-Siddiqi Sunday School as a secretary, and with the Cook County Health Department as an assistant. Mrs. Al-Shuaibi holds a Bachelors Degree in Shareeah and Islamic Studies from the European College for Islamic Studies.

Mrs. Fadwa Hammad joined Universal School in 2000. Mrs. Hammad is currently working in the office, handling accounts receivable. She began working at Universal School as a substitute teacher for one year and then transitioned to a permanent secretarial position in the main office.

Mr. Mohammed Joined Universal School In 2011. He graduated from Devry University in 2004 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Networking and Communications. He had previously worked in the IT field for a major clinic in the Chicagoland area.

Mrs. Murad joined Universal School in 2004. In 2008 she became the school librarian. Mrs. Murad completed her Bachelors in Science in Karachi, Pakistan.

Mrs. Saleh joined Universal School in 1992. She has twelve years of working experience at Universal in Pk-3 and Pk-4. She obtained her advanced certificate in early Childhood Education at Daley College in the summer of 1998, and also earned an Associate Degree in Applied Sciences with High Honors in May 2001. She is also certified in College Admission Counseling.
Abouelfatouh Sharara, Building Engineer email: asharara@universalschool.org
Mr. Sharara joined Universal School in 1994. He received his Bachelors degree in Physical Education from Alexandria University in Egypt in 1990. He taught P.E. at Universal for nine years prior to taking the Building Engineer position. Mr. Sharara is a dedicated member of our staff.
