ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT

Dalila Benameur, Academic Counselor
Ms. Benameur joined Universal School in 1996. Ms. Benameur has served as Dean of Students and is currently the Social Studies Department Chair. She has taught middle school and high school social studies. Ms. Benameur graduated from the University of Paris-Jussieu in France with a Master’s Degree in American Civilization and a post-graduate Degree in comparative religion and women’s studies. Ms. Benameur also holds a teaching certificate from the university.

Jehad Matariyeh, Dean of Students
Dr. Matariyeh joined Universal School in 2007 teaching American History and American Governement. Since 2009 he has been seving as a Dean of Students while also teaching a Dual Credit American Government course. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Studies from the University of Illinois in 1997 and his Master’s Degree in Political and Justice Studies from Governors State University in 2001. In 2016 he earned his PhD in School Leadership from Concordia University, Chicago.

Banan Said, Counselor
Ms. Banan Said joined Universal School in 2011. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her Master’s in Education in Youth Development also from UIC. She is currently completing her second Master’s in Counseling Psychology. Ms. Said has and continues to be involved as a member volunteer of various organizations and initiatives focused on serving American Muslim youth and their families.

Gloria Sharara, Office Manager
Mrs. Sharara joined Universal School in 1997. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with minors in Management at Governors State University and she is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Governors State University. She earned her associates Degree in Business Administration from LaGuardia Community College in New York, and earned a certification in early childhood education from Moraine Valley Community College.

Molham Kattaieh, Director of Information Technology
Mr. Kattaieh joined Universal School in 2012. He graduated from Arab Academy for Banking and Finance University with a Masters in Management Information System (MIS). He has Bachelors in Business Administration and many years of experience in his field of education
