March 13, 2020 Dear Universal School Community: The school has decided to close the campus starting the week of March 16th, 2020. Additionally, all activities and events at Universal are canceled through Spring Break (March 30th through April 3rd). This decision is based on a consensus among all public school districts in the Southwest Suburbs to close starting Monday. Students will still attend classes from home using computers and devices as we implement remote or e-Learning starting Thursday March 19th next week. These days will not have to be made up at the end of the year if we are successful in completing our remote learning and objectives are met. We have asked our teachers to send all materials home with the students at this time. Information will continually be shared as we move into the remote learning period. Parents are our partners in making this a success. We are implementing our plan in order to ensure our students' education is not interrupted and that we continue to fulfill our education objectives as if school was never interrupted. We hope this alleviates concerns and keeps our students healthy and well. We do not have any cases of COVID-19 at this time and are thankful to Allah (swt) for our blessings. Parent-Teacher Conferences are cancelled; teachers will be available by email if you have questions or concerns.
